LA-VENTURA Parts Ways With RAZAR ICE RECORDS

July 22, 2007

LA-VENTURA, the Dutch female-fronted metal band featuring former ORPHANAGE drummer Erwin Polderman, has issued the following update:

"LA-VENTURA has decided to terminate the agreement with Razar Ice Records.

"What does this mean for the release planned and all the other stuff people are working hard for? Not much than that we can report that all will be done in time, not by Razar Ice Records but by LA-VENTURA herself!

"We have our new beginning and we are glad that we now have full control over what has to be done.

"We will have our release on the 6th of October, we will have a video shot for 'Trefoil', we will do the gigs that are planned, promotion will be done in time and we will show you all that LA-VENTURA kicks ass!

"We have no regrets of our decision and we will not lower ourselves to a blaming game with Razar Ice Records.

"We will handle this professionally and with the same respect we would expect ourselves.

"We hope that you all will stand by us during the upcoming weeks, 'cause we gonna need your support to make this all happen!"

Meanwhile, Razar Ice Records has released the following statement regarding the label's split with LA-VENTURA:

"Razar Ice Records has chosen to drop/release the Dutch female-fronted metal band LA-VENTURA. We have tried many times to no avail in an attempt to change the situation but due to the band's lack of professionalism, respect towards RIR staff from the very beginning and an overall poor attitude of certain band members, we do not feel the band warrants our continued support and efforts along side our other amazing artists.

"Just two months short of the band's debut CD release date, it's hard to believe that an unknown band would attempt to make outrageous demands outside of our contactual obligations, it's clear that the band have no understanding of how this business works.

"We here at Razar Ice Records wish them the best of luck."
